Cambodia Preparing for ASEM13

Phnom Penh: The National Committee for Organising the 13th ASEM Summit, ASEM13, has held a Briefing Session on its preparations with all relevant embassies and institutions of ASEM Partner Countries. The session was held via videoconference on Wednesday afternoon.

It was chaired bySecretary of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and President of the ASEM13 Secretariat, Luy David. During the session, information was shared with participating countries, including the agenda, program and media arrangements, as well as details about the various sideline events.

ASEM13 will be held over 25-26 November via Zoom. The two-day summit will be convened in the afternoon, starting at 2pm local time. There will be a photo session, an opening session, a session with stakeholders, two plenary sessions, a retreat, the adoption of the outcome documents, a formal closing session, and a joint press conference.

Six sideline events will also be held, namely: Asia-Europe Forum on Women, Peace and Security; 11th Asia-Europe Parliamentary Partnership Meeting; ASEM Cultural Festival; 4th ASEF Young Leaders’ Summit; 1st Asia-Europe Business & Economic Forum and the 10th ASEF Editor’s Roundtable.
